Katie Carline is the Interim Director of Halifax Humanities until February 2026, while our permanent Director Amy Bird is on leave. Katie is originally from New Brunswick and was raised in Nairobi, Kenya. She holds a PhD in African History from Michigan State University, and is also a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of History at Dalhousie.
