University 101 is a project that offers FREE, non-credit courses that will introduce students to a wide range of university topics.
 
Humanities 101 Vancouver

Humanities 101 offers three non-credit university-level courses at UBC for people living on the DTES and surrounding areas who are passionate about learning and knowledge, especially those whose economic situation,
academic experience, financial and social well-being are compromised. 

 
Saint Mary's University in Calgary
Humanities 101 is a strength-based educational program designed to help low-income Calgarians address barriers getting in the way of their capacities and skills. We learn about the stories that connect us to others and the world around us through studies in Literature, History, Music, Cultural Studies, Philosophy and Art History.
 
University in the Community, Toronto
This program is a free educational opportunity for people with low incomes to participate in university level classes in the Humanities.
 
Clemente Course in The Humanities
The Clemente Course in the Humanities® is a unique educational institution founded in 1995 to teach the humanities at the college level to people living in economic distress. The course works in conjunction with faculty from leading colleges and universities on five continents. Students learn through dialogue about moral philosophy, literature, history, art history, critical thinking and writing.
